“I have been meaning to contact you for a while now to give you an update as to how our daughter is getting on at school. She is doing really well and seems to be settling in absolutely fine. She even got Star of the Week a few weeks ago for her hard work and progress. We are very proud of her! I must say though that I think that the staff at School House and her positive experiences and support that she received while at nursery played a fundamental part in preparing her for school. It is a testament to School House that the three children who went to the  school from Dodford have all received Star of the Week at some point since they started.

“School House Nursery has become part of our extended family and my little boy has always been so excited and happy to go to the nursery and share his life with staff who have all become extremely important people to us.  As he has journeyed through the rooms all of his needs (and more) have been met.  School room is no exception.  School Room provides an extremely stimulating environment and starts the little ones on their learning journey.  I am often amazed at the amount of activities they have been able to pack in to one day and am running out of space on the walls & cupboards with the amazing creative masterpieces my little man has completed! Whilst understanding the importance of preparing little ones for school, they also remember that children need to be children and teach them things in a very creative way.  They understand the importance of learning whilst ensuring the children have fun, laughter and playtime and are still happy to give the cuddles that children often need.  The proudest moment for my little one was when he was given his School House Nursery uniform – I think he would have slept in his jumper if he was allowed!

Her development has quickly progressed in all areas over her time at nursery and the Tapestry and biannual parents reports we get evidence her journey well. The range of different learning activities delivered each day means that she is constantly challenged to learn new things and is encouraged to indulge in experiences that she wouldn’t otherwise have had the opportunity to do, such as French lessons, rhythm time, welly walks, trips to the theatre with her friends and a bespoke mothers and fathers day activity among many.  She has made some great friendships, all of which will stand her in good stead for when she starts school in September.

“From the first moment I took my son to look round the nursery we both felt welcome and relaxed there and I knew he would be in safe hands and well cared for.  There is a lovely family atmosphere and all the staff, children and parents know each other.  This personal touch makes us feel like we are dropping him off with friends rather than at “nursery”.  My son comes home every evening brimming with excitement as to the things he has done during the day.  It will be a very sad day when he has to leave to start school.” – Kirsty Newell.
